Share Words of Encouragement with Demi Lovato

Demi Lovato has had a difficult time dealing with some adversity. In my previous posts “Is Demi Lovato Making All the Wrong Moves?” and “Demi Lovato Uses Her Past Adversity to Help Others,” I’ve discussed her issues with bullying, eating disorders and addiction.

Although she appears to have risen out of the darkness, Lovato still gets discouraged. It’s only natural. Earlier this month on Twitter, Lovato revealed her discouragement as she tweeted her feelings about God and her faith.

Sometimes it seems like God just keeps throwing crap my way and I get SO angry with him… But there’s never a doubt in my mind He’s gonna… pull me through it all I know you’re there God. But umm… Really dude? (Demi Lovato tweet Jan. 6, 2012)

I can guarantee that we all have struggled with our faith. But that’s why it’s called faith. Sometimes the answer doesn’t come quickly enough or we just don’t hear it, but that doesn’t mean God doesn’t listen, or he doesn’t have a special plan for you.

He never fails to show me He’s by my side though. Even in tough time. #Godstuff. I’m not very religious but I’m VERY spiritual and I DO believe in God. I’m not perfect or preaching! Just tweeting… 🙂 (Demi Lovato tweet Jan. 6, 2012)

If I could share any words of encouragement with Lovato, I’d tell her that her blessings are proof God is present in her life, and that she is loved abundantly by Him and her fans. I would remind her that adversity is often a blessing in disguise, and then I’d offer her the following verse.

But the God of all grace, who has called us to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that you have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle you (1 Peter 5:10).

If you could share words of encouragement with Demi Lovato, what would they be? Say it in a verse, a prayer, or in your own words.

    To Demi,
You are a beautiful, creative, strong young woman whom God has given you the incredible gift of MUSIC!!
Music was meant for God’s glory…as long as you cling to HIm, you’ll be safe and secure-still struggle! But you will understand those struggles and how you will soon come out of them 🙂 “This too, shall soon pass.”

Everything happens for a reason. We might not understand why bad things happen but GOD is in control.

Even when the clouds are hiding the sun, we never doubt that it is there and that we will see it again. Even if the wind isn’t currently blowing, we don’t doubt that such a thing as wind does in fact exist. In the same way, just because you can’t currently see or hear God, it doesn’t mean He isn’t there. You just have to wait out the storm and have faith that He is there. If you can have faith that the sun and wind do exist, then why not the One who created them?

Fireproof doesn’t mean the fire will never come. It means when the fire comes that you will be able to withstand it. ~Fireproof
When Satan (fire) attacks, God is there to help you through. Satan likes it when there is anger towards Gods because he is against Him. Just rely only on God’s strength to get you through.Through Him anything we go through is used for good when we are in Him.

I would say, “God put trials in your life so you could help others and inspire others who are dealing the same things. He loves you so much and will never leave you.”

I’d say, “If God didn’t love you, you wouldn’t be where you are today. He really does LOVE you!”

Sometimes we wonder, “What did I do to deserve this?” or “Why did God have to do this to me?” Here is a wonderful explanation! A daughter is telling her Mother how everything is going wrong, she’s failing algebra, her boyfriend broke up with her and her best friend is moving away.

Meanwhile, her Mother is baking a cake and asks her daughter if she would like a snack, and the daughter says, “Absolutely Mom, I love your cake.”

“Here, have some cooking oil,” her Mother offers. “Yuck” says her daughter.

“How about a couple raw eggs?” “Gross, Mom!”

“Would you like some flour then? Or maybe baking soda?” “Mom, those are all yucky!”

To which the mother replies: “Yes, all those things seem bad all by themselves but when they are put together in the right way, they make a wonderfully delicious cake!

God works the same way. Many times we wonder why He would let us go through such bad and difficult times. But God knows that when He puts these things all in His order, they always work for good! We just have to trust Him and, eventually, they will all make something wonderful!

God is crazy about you. He sends you flowers every spring and a sunrise every morning.

Whenever you want to talk, He’ll listen. He can live anywhere in the universe, and He chose your heart.

Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance !! GOD’s CAKE! -unknown- Jennifer ~ Global Scope Ministries
