Share Words of Encouragement with Demi Lovato
Written by T.M. Gaouette | January 20, 2012
Demi Lovato has had a difficult time dealing with some adversity. In my previous posts “Is Demi Lovato Making All the Wrong Moves?” and “Demi Lovato Uses Her Past Adversity to Help Others,” I’ve discussed her issues with bullying, eating disorders and addiction.
Although she appears to have risen out of the darkness, Lovato still gets discouraged. It’s only natural. Earlier this month on Twitter, Lovato revealed her discouragement as she tweeted her feelings about God and her faith.
Sometimes it seems like God just keeps throwing crap my way and I get SO angry with him… But there’s never a doubt in my mind He’s gonna… pull me through it all I know you’re there God. But umm… Really dude? (Demi Lovato tweet Jan. 6, 2012)
I can guarantee that we all have struggled with our faith. But that’s why it’s called faith. Sometimes the answer doesn’t come quickly enough or we just don’t hear it, but that doesn’t mean God doesn’t listen, or he doesn’t have a special plan for you.
He never fails to show me He’s by my side though. Even in tough time. #Godstuff. I’m not very religious but I’m VERY spiritual and I DO believe in God. I’m not perfect or preaching! Just tweeting… 🙂 (Demi Lovato tweet Jan. 6, 2012)
If I could share any words of encouragement with Lovato, I’d tell her that her blessings are proof God is present in her life, and that she is loved abundantly by Him and her fans. I would remind her that adversity is often a blessing in disguise, and then I’d offer her the following verse.
But the God of all grace, who has called us to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that you have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle you (1 Peter 5:10).
If you could share words of encouragement with Demi Lovato, what would they be? Say it in a verse, a prayer, or in your own words.
