    1. I got to see my big brother who is in the Marines, and he lives across the country. He and his wife were at my house for 10 days, and it was so fun! We went to a wedding, then my cousin’s cabin, and then just stayed at my house and ate ice cream the rest of the time xD

    2. My favorite summer memory was when I went on a mission trip to Argentina! I was in the province of Chaco, which is a very poverty stricken community, where my group played with children, built gardens and spoke the word of God over the people. During our time in one of the villages we were giving bibles to the children and I handed a bible to a little girl about 13 or so and she began to weep! I asked her what was wrong and she told me about how she has been praying for a bible for over a year because her family did not have the money to afford one and how she kept having faith that God would provide her with one and that he had sent someone all the way from the United States to give her a bible! That moment was so beautiful and it will forever be one of the greatest memories of that summer trip!

    3. My favorite summer memory is when I went to Ohio to meet my sister-in-law and her family. I had fun going to her work to surprise her to go get ice cream and watching my brother scaring her and her co-worker.

    4. My favorite summer memory was when I went on a missions trip to Chicago with a few members of my church. Although I loved all of the trip, my favorite part was when we spent time with men and women in a nursing home. There were many people that stood out to me there, but I happened to meet a woman named Annie who changed my life completely. She was an older woman who was deaf, and I was fortunate enough to teach myself some sign language so I was really the only person who could communicate with her in my group. I learned a lot about her and how she grew up as a foster child being tossed from home to home and when she was 16 she decided to be on her own. She left her foster family at the time and stayed with friends, sometimes abandoned buildings or just on the road. She lived as a homeless woman for many years and because of it, she has never had anyone tell her who God is or what he can do. Even as I was talking to her she still didn’t know who God really was. God sent me there to communicate with her and provided me the right words where I told her what he is all about and although she still had many questions, as many of us do, she felt something she has never felt before, a happiness hearing that someone was always going to be there for her and provide a home after death and eternal life. As I feel I changed Annie’s life, she made a large impact on mine as well. I will never forget those few hours between a stranger, yet a sister in God, where the true meaning of life and happiness was spoken. <3
