I love spring. It’s the beginning of the warm weather here in New England and I thrive in the sun!
Needless to say, I’m excited to share some modest fashion ideas that should get you into the mood for the season. I consider these “must-have” items for a fun spring wardrobe.
Let’s begin with some separates. Tops first.
The following ruffle-tiered tulle top is absolutely adorable (if you’re okay with spaghetti straps). Large prints and bold colors are in this season, so for all those “fashionistas” out there, I included a blue strappy top with a large butterfly print. Wear either with a cute denim skirt or jeans, like the ones featured below. These are cut high enough not to expose cleavage, and you can add a light cardigan if the weather is still a little cool or if you’re not comfortable exposing your shoulders.

How about these cute loose tops! One has a tie at the waist and the other has a “swashbuckle” look. I love them both, they’re appropriate for any age, and I’d imagine they’d look great with jeans.

Here are a couple of cardigan ideas (wear them over the tulle tops, above!) Light or pastel hues are perfect in the spring, but pick colors that work best for you. I love a little sparkle and the white cardigan with sequins is so stylish. Also, something with a floral motif is always appropriate for the season. The cardigans can be worn open over little tops and plain fitted tees, or you can button them up.

How fun are these skirts? I love, love, love, flared and a-line skirts. You can go with a plain color and add a little depth with a lace or embroidered fabric. Or select something with a unique feature, like the sage skirt with the tie waist below.

And don’t forget to add a denim skirt to your wardrobe. This one is the perfect length for a Christian teenage girl–just a little above the knee.

A cute pair of jeans is a must for your spring collection. Select a style that suits you. My personal preference is boot-cut or straight leg. Add a colorful tie belt, as shown below, for color. You can dress up or dress down your jeans with your top and shoes. Also, I included a fun pair of cargo pants. These are linen, so they’re nice and light.

A cute little spring dress is nice to include. I selected a strapless dress for older teens. Strapless can look modest on certain figures, but if you have a larger bust, you might want to add a pretty little cardigan.

I hear that long dresses are in this season. These two floral styles below are so seasonal. The first has ruffles at the bottom and the second has one at the top. Again, you can add a cardigan if it’s chilly, or to create a more modest look.

Spring is such a lovely season and dressing for the occasion can be a great way of “springing” out of the rut of winter!
What do you think about my spring collection? Is there a must-have item that you like to include in your own wardrobe?
I love Spring! Can’t wait, but right now we’re in the middle of a thunder-snow storm. lol(: I <3 all your selections.
I love this look!
these are so pretty and so appropiate to where for spring. :)) love them
I love these adorable outfits!! thanks PI for the great tips for the spring!! ♥
Some of the dresses and tops on here… is sin!!! Scripture clearly says in 1 Timothy that women should dress modestly. A lot of clothes on this page is NOT modest! I just don’t get this… when are girls going to wake up and start being obedient to the Word of God… and dress modestly!!!
Yes some of them have spaghetti straps or strapless, which some might consider immodest, but if you add a cardigan or a shrug I don’t think it is immodest.
Truth be told, T.M. told us how to wear them without looking unmodest. I think it was a great article and I would wear any of the stuff
You are responsible for your own modesty, so if a spaghetti strap looks too sexy on your figure, then you need to add a cardigan. What looks immodest on one person, may not be immodest on another.
I agree with T.M. You are responsible for your own modesty. And if you’ll notice, she did say you could wear a cardigan to make it more modest. I’ve found it necessary to have to layer in order to get the level of modesty I need, and these clothes are good for that too. It is going to be different for each person.
These looks are NOT immodest. There are many ways to wear these looks to make them modest, like wearing a tiny pink slouchy top over one of the sundresses for a beach look, or wearing the strapless “spring dance” look from Modcloth.com with a cute light colored jacket. I find nothing about these clothing items immodest, if worn the “right way”
This are so cute! I really like the pink and brown stripey shirt, that totally looks like something I would wear!
Love it <3
I love these clothes! I really like Mod cloth clothing nice article!
I love the white pants!!!
For spring, I love the idea of wearing pasteles, flower prints, ruffles, maybe even sandles or wedges if you live in a warm place during the spring. My perfect outfit would be a spaghetti strap black dress with a tiny red/pink flower print, a cute motorcycle faux leather jacket, red skinny jeans, and matching colored Converse or Dr. Martins (boots). 😀
I really love the skirts! especially the green one!
i love these so much! thank you project inspired! <3 these looks are my style…and modest (modest is hottest) 🙂
I only wear dresses and skirts (it says women shall only wear women’s attire in Deuteronomy, and I take it very literally), and I love the dresses on here! Also, Target has some adorable dresses, skirts, and shrugs on sale right now 🙂
I love that pink dress!!! Super cute outfits!
I love all of these. I just might go to the mall and look for them.
I love the green skirt! 🙂
Ahhhs o pretty “:)
The choices are pretty, but my moms standards are realy strict, nothing sleevless :/
I’m so glad you have clothes from Old Navy and ModCloth! I love Old Navy’s styles this year, they even have some pretty dresses with sleeves! And ModCloth is always a favorite of mine, they have a section on their site where you can specifically find dresses and skirts that are “longer lengths.” I love cardigans regardless of where they come from 🙂 Also, just a little tip from me: I always wear a cami under my shirts, either because it it hard to find shirts with a high enough neckline, or the shirts are a little thin (kinda see-through), or because they just make me feel secure. In the summer, this might be a little harder to do because of the heat, but it makes me able to wear a lot of clothes that I wouldn’t otherwise buy.
Love this-this is really great for girls who don’t always know what the best most Christian modesty look on clothes may be!
Im not really into real dressy stuff, but I like jean capris, a modest tank with a cardigan/sweater type thing, and ballet flats or flip flops for a spring outfit in new mexico.
i really love the skirts! i wear skirts all the time to church
I just bought some really cute noodle strap-halter top, floral tank tops, but I can’t figure out how to make them modest and not show off my bra straps…
