    1. We might be trying a new church, fingers crossed, and then we will probably go out to dinner. I already gave my mom her mother’s day gift, a build-a-bear she was eyeing on a recent trip, I built and paid for it without her knowledge, she was so happy.
    2. We usually dress up and go to restaurant we don’t normally go to.
    3. My mom loves getting gifts she didn’t ask for. I usually get her something she said she wanted a few months before Mother’s Day so she is extra surprised. 4. I have so many traits from my mom, but my favorite shared one is our humor. We just look at each other and know what the other is thinking.
    5. One of my favorite memories occured when I was 6ish. We have a nice little ridge leading out of our neighborhood toward our local grocery store. I had recently gotten some cheap, foam superhero masks from church. She put the mask on me and then picked one out for herself. We walked all 2 miles with those silly masks on and people driving by stared but she didn’t care. We also named the different parts of the ridge with names like rocky road and the hanging tree.
    6. Be yourself and trust your gut, usually your gut instinct is God warning you.
    7. I love laying on the floor with her just talking.
    8. I love her strength! She had a very rough childhood and young adulthood, my half sister and my dad were the first people who loved her for the way she is.
    9. My mom is what you would call a prayer warrior. She also has taught me that while going to church is important, you can create church wherever you are. She has such strong faith despite everything she has been through, so she inspires me to keep going even when things are tough.
    10. I would give my mom peace.
