PI girls, we know that many of you are big fans of Taylor Swift–we are too! And when we heard about her latest act of kindness, well, we couldn’t help but share it with you!
Last weekend, Swift upheld a promise to take Kevin McGuire, a fan and teen with leukemia, as her date to the ACM awards. He was supposed to go last year but was too ill to attend at the time. Swift didn’t forget him and her promise–and he finally got to go this year! So sweet.
What else has Swift been up to these days? About a month ago, we previewed her upcoming Diet Coke commercial in one of our Friday web round-ups. In the video, Swift talked about a concerted effort to “dress her age” along with some other cute tidbits.
Now, the Diet Coke commercial has finally been released. And, of course, it’s adorable! Check it out below:
Several weeks ago, Swift also announced her full RED tour (which we covered) along with two videos previewing the shows. “I didn’t think I could be any more excited about my RED album, but then I start thinking about how I’m going to put the new show together for The RED Tour,” she wrote on her site. “I have so many ideas about how to really bring this music to life, and I can’t wait to share the new show with all my fans!” Here she is jamming on her guitar from opening night:
In this clip, the multi-talented star is drumming during to “Holy Ground” during her show in Omaha:
Several of you mentioned in the comments on the last post that you’d be attending one of the shows. We’d love to hear how it went and what your favorite song was!

She is amazing!!! I recently heard about a high school hockey player in Minnesota that had his spinal cord almost severed from a dirty hit. He was in the hospital for weeks and Taylor came and visited him and gave him an autographed picture. She is truly amazing!!! Love her!!! 🙂
I was reading this when all of a sudden I realized that I listening to her music!! 😀
I LOVE HER!! i went to RED!!!!
I went to RED and was in the PIT! My boyfriend and I won tickets and it was the most amazing show I’ve ever been to. Not only is she beautiful and talented, but she’s honest and humble. She is a sweet girl (who shouldn’t be judged for wearing a low cut dress every now and again.)Hahah just a side note there. But I loved the concert, and seeing her up close was an amazing experience. If you can afford it, GO!
Okay, so, I’ll admit I’m not a huge Taylor Swift fan in the first place (but she has grown on me), but seriously, what were those shorts? Not to be a party pooper, but they hardly covered anything up.
Over all, though, she’s actually pretty okay. At least she has some intelligence, which is hard to find in the modern media.
On the other hand, I LOVED her shirt!
She’s a grown woman and she can wear what she chooses to. I for one, look at her heart rather than the length of her shorts. She is kind, humble, and sweet. Her modesty standards may not be the same as yours, but that doesn’t affect her heart and personality 🙂
Excellent point, sorry, I didn’t really mean it that way…sorry if I offended anyone. I just wouldn’t wear those, and I suppose I am somewhat prejudiced by the fact that I am not a huge fan of her music.
Oh, no worries girl! I actually didn’t like her too much until i went to her concert. Anyone who appreciates a good show would like it!:)
I LOVE Taylor!!!! And the Coke commercial was soooo perfect!!!
Oh Taylor Taylor Taylor:) I’m actually going to see her next weekend!!! I’m psyched out of my MIND! I’ve been wanting to for so long & however silly it may sound, seeing her live is actually on my bucket list! I admit I wasn’t a fan at all but she’s grown on me a lot and I think we can all appreciate her attitude and personality over some other stars out there. She’s amazing and I know the RED show will be too:)
I want to go to her RED tour sooo bad!!!! I wasn’t able to go to her last 2 tours. She is definitely one of my favorite artists. (:
