The Before and After Files #10

Wow. This one is pretty radical.

The Photoshopped image changed the entire color of my face and body. I really like my skin tone normally and it’s strange to see myself go from rosy to…not so rosy.

The retouch also makes my arms thinner, but not impossibly (and heartbreakingly) thin like Ralph Lauren’s advertisement in 2009 of model Filippa Hamilton:

That ad was just stupid. It doesn’t look realistic at all!

In the first one the skin on her face is more oily. In The second one it is GLOWING and gorgeous!

Filippa Hamilton is actually a healthy weight and soon stopped doing shoots for Ralph Lauren! Yay for her!

Dude that bottom picture is just INSANE! Like, seriously, I think people would DIE if they were that skinny! It doesn’t even look good…like honestly, she would look way prettier if they would just leave in the fat. XD Not to mention the freakishly skinny body makes her head look big.

Thats not even normal how skinny she is. I

Ya know it’s funny, cuz a lot of these the originals look way better than the retouched ones. A lot of what they do just isn’t natural, and it’s often presented as if is. Retouching can do some cool things like clearing up skin, but it’s presenting a false image and is essentially a lie.

I’m petite, and my arms look about as thin as hers in the Ralph Lauren photo, but I’m just undersized. Still. I don’t have a waist that looks like I’m wearing an overkill corset. =/ That’s definitely an issue.

I like the real one better you are gorgeous no matter what! Never forget that!

She’s…not really that skinny, is she? If she is, that’s sad. She needs prayer.

Yes she was. it’s ver tragic how they made her so thin. Ralph LAuren got a lot of heat from the media for doctoring the picture so much. People were outraged.
