Not only did they adjust my shirt to change the color and remove my underarm, they gave my chest some oomph as well. I think that’s pretty funny, considering that I was a body double for Victoria’s Secret models!
If photographers feel the need to add to MY breasts, I can only imagine how teenage girls must feel when they look at magazine ads. Remember…those perfect breasts on the model are probably computer enhanced!
See the full picture here!

I have no idea why the media photoshops all the models so much. it’s totally obvious!
You’re very brave nichole for sharing this with us God Bless! You are pretty in the before one too!
All the Victoria’s secret models are really airbrushed. I used to want to look like them but realized that their standard of beauty isn’t real, it’s enhanced by a computer. This is really eye-opening to read, I appreciate it. All my friends need to look at this too because some are struggling with eating disorders and one of my best friend’s wants a boob job and I keep telling her she doesn’t need one. its sad that they are telling girls to look like this!! 🙁
The breast thing is an issue because I’m someone who has a tinier waste than I do breasts. I always feel pressured like mine are supposed to be smaller, and a lot of cute clothes don’t form to me properly… Also I don’t know why your shirt color had to be changed, it looks weird when it’s bright turquoise.. And the arm thing reminds me completely how magazines trick us.
wow, i cant believe they do that, i mean so many women are beautiful just the way they are! i understand putting on makeup, but airbrushing? that is them saying the women arent beautiful and they need to make them pretty. idk, thats how i see it…
I think they shouldn’t alter your breasts. I am very tall and lanky so I have close to nothing breasts. But I also like it better when people aren’t airbrushed. When you have smile lines and laugh lines it makes you look like you know how to live life.
You look great:)
Thank you so much Nadia you are so sweet 🙂
I would never want to be a model because it seems like it would hurt that they would always keep “fixing you”. I’m so glad that you realize that the editing is ridiculous and you’re going further to showing girls the truth as well. You are even more beautiful without all that fancy editing 🙂
Thank you Alexa! That means a lot to me 🙂
I don’t think I realized until now how much my view of beauty has lined up with the edited version of this picture. Thank you for showing me what true beauty looks like!
You’re welcome Emily! Keep coming back for more before and afters!
I think they should only edit out pimples and loose strands of hair.
You looked perfect before you got all edited, I think that breast issue is a pretty big one, I have like, nothing, and I am a bigger girl so … Yeah, I think I have looked at magazines and thought about wanting bigger breasts but a smaller everything else, but its scary to see how much they edit this stuff! The stuff some girls want to look like is just simply artificial.
Ugh. I hate photoshop. I have a eating disorder, and I’m really struggling with it. I have super low self esteem and photoshop doesn’t help. Thanks for posting these images! I’ve needed to see them! BTW- you are beautiful without photoshop!
You are so beautiful too! Please read my article about anorexia- I think it will help you. God gave you a beautiful body, you need to feed it with nutrition! I’m praying for you.
Just a comment on your poll for no- there’s nothing artistic about photoshopping someone!
I can understand getting rid of fly-aways, retouching the lighting, and fixing an article of clothing, but changing a girl’s face and body shape? That’s absolutely ridiculous.
Codie you’re awesome.
