The motion picture The Healer is now out in theaters. Directed by Mexican filmmaker and philanthropist Paco Arango, the film is about “a young man [who] discovers that he has a mysterious ability to heal people. He meets a teenage girl with cancer who convinces him to embrace his gift.”

The movie stars Oliver Jackson Cohen (Emerald City), Camilla Luddington (Grey’s Anatomy), Jorge Garcia (Hawaii Five-O), Jonathan Pryce (Game of Thrones) and newcomer Kaitlyn Bernard. The film’s soundtrack features the hit single “Home” from Phillip Phillips (American Idol Season 11 winner).

The film is encouraging about hope, faith, healing, love, redemption, new beginnings,
believing in what you cannot see, taking chances in life and helping heal others through kindness. The movie has a philanthropic aspect to it as well, as 100 percent of the profits from the film go to the Newman’s Own Foundation, a charity that supports nonprofit organizations helping people in need around the world. What an amazing film that our country needs at this time!

Let us all support these positive and inspiring films to help make the world a better place and to spread love and light. Everyone needs encouragement and is facing some kind of battle. This is a movie that will lift your spirit and is one that we need more of in theaters. Make sure to support it this month, PI readers! God bless you!
