    The Power of Prayer

As Christians, we have access to the throne room of God. We are enabled by the power of God to bless people, impact our friends and family, and make a difference.

In life, we face struggles, opposition, testing, trials and waves of challenges. Through prayer you can overcome anything! The Lord WANTS you to ask him for help, wisdom, and advice. Don’t belittle God by thinking your prayers are silly, or that He doesn’t care–God does care!

If the Lord delights in a man’s way, he makes his steps firm (Psalm 37:23).

He delights in every detail of your life. God is jealous for you! What is so great is God’s line is never busy. He is ALWAYS available and ready to listen. Sometimes we don’t always get an answer right away, but it doesn’t mean He isn’t at work.

He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).

Do you believe you have power through Christ?! He said “You will do greater things.” He will enable you! He will go before you!

When Moses was fearful and unsure about speaking to Pharaoh to release the prisoners, Moses questioned God, but the Lord said, “I will give you the words to speak.”

He will speak to the people for you, and it will be as if he were your mouth and as if you were God to him (Exodus 4: 16).

You see, the people of God are always in communication with Him. Why? Because He orders their steps. He leads, He guides, He counsels. God should be your Father, your best friend, and your helper!

He said, “keep seeking, keep knocking” (Matthew 7:7). You don’t just say a prayer once and stop–prayer is continual, just as any relationship is! Keep watering the relationship and it will grow.

Don’t give up!!! I recently heard a pastor say, “don’t go to the phone, go to the throne!”

PI girls, what is it that YOU are praying for?

    1. I’m praying that my sister will find God again. She’s a bisexual, and doesn’t believe that God loves her because of that. My numerous talks with her about God have failed. So I’m praying that God will use me or somebody else to show her the way to God again.

    2. I really needed this! 😀 Everytime I pray to ask for something, it always feels selfish because He does everything for me. I really want God to be my best friend and my leader, but I’m always paranoid about messing up. I have trust issues. I can’t even trust my own mind.

      • Thank you for sharing- because I also feel selfish for praying for my own needs. Sometimes I force myself to pray for others before myself but I cannot focus on other’s problems when I myself am weighed down with problems! I end up not praying as much because of this.

    3. I’m praying for a lot of things…every night I pray for a specific person or cause…tonight it was world hunger. I’m also praying that I’ll get to see my “friend” this week to discuss some important stuff about our relationship.

    4. I will pray for my future husband, for my sister whose anger stems, I’m sure, from my parents’ divorce, for my friends who have not yet found God, for my friends who have problems with gratitude and appreciating their natural beauty, for my friends with self-esteem and who have trouble with their sexuality.

    5. I am praying for a desire to pray. I am praying for christian friends who care about and enjoy me for me. I am praying about talking to a long-standing family-friend about her “non-friend” behavior towards me for the past few months. I am praying for my sexually-confused friends and my own confusion about homo/bi-sexuality, etc.

    6. I am praying for many things…first off to have the desire to always pray and serve the Lord, ask God to help me be humble, tame my tongue (something ive struggled with for years), my sister-in-laws and my brothers marriage (no problems, just for God to keep their love), for my soon to be here niece and her health, my youth group so God helps us with the many countless problems we encounter, for those of my friends who seem to have lost it for God, for help in school, for the Lord to show me the way, for strength in difficult situations, for the thirst that i should have to read His Word, pray, read the Bible, to help me overcome temptations, to help me learn how to never judge to teach me how to truly love others<3 and of course my future husband…i dont know where he is or what hes doing, but i pray God is with him and always will be.
