This year’s international student-led prayer event, ‘See You at the Pole’ is taking place on Wednesday, September 25.
The event, which is organized by students all around the globe, is focused on one thing and one thing only — prayer. The event encourages students to meet at their school’s flag poles at 7:00am to pray together over their school, their student body, and students across the world.
Public school students are urged to pray at 7:00 am Wednesday around their school’s flagpole.
The theme for this year’s international gathering comes from 2 Chronicles 7:14 which reads:
“if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
SYATP is part of the Global Week of Student Prayer, which runs from Sept 22 – Sept 28. The week, dedicated to student prayer, encourages public, private, and homeschool students to “pray in unique ways, places and times all week. Some will launch on-campus Bible clubs.”
In order to help make the organization process easier, SYATP created an app called “Campus Prayer” to help students prepare for SYATP and “keep the movement alive at your school.” You can download the app here.
Want to get involved? Or want to start a SYATP meeting at your school? An easy way to get together last minute is simply by texting, calling, or messaging all of your friends, and inviting them to meet you at the pole.
