This Week’s Best of the Web, Featuring a Bullied High School Teen’s Awesome Surprise

    Hey girls! Happy (almost) weekend!

One of our goals here at PI is to bring you the best of the best on the web each week, so we’d love to hear what you are interested in knowing about. What do you love and want to see more of? Let us know in the comments!

    Inspirational story of the week:

13-year-old Deandre Losero has been through a lot this year. But now he’s got something huge to keep him smiling: A visit from his favorite hometown hero.

Last Friday, Losero got to spend time with Cory Jefferson, a forward on Baylor University’s basketball team. Jefferson decided to visit the teen after hearing that he was being bullied at school and was recently beaten up and called a series of racial slurs by another student. News Channel 25 reports that Jefferson brought the Killeen, Tex. teen an autographed basketball, Baylor T-shirts and some moral support. Jefferson is from the same hometown.

“It really does mean a lot, because I never would have guessed in a million years that so many people would be in support of me if something like this happened,” Losero told News Channel 25.
