This Week’s Best of the Web, Featuring Two Teens Attempting to Break a World Record!

Hey girls! Happy (almost) weekend!

One of our goals here at PI is to bring you the best of the best on the web each week, so we’d love to hear what you are interested in knowing about. What do you love and want to see more of? Let us know in the comments!

Awesome inspirational story

Two 14-year-olds from Switzerland, Daniel Huwiler and Oswald Jonas, are attempting to set a new world record for the longest wall of toppling dominoes!

According to The Local, the teens used a total of 41,680 dominoes to build a wall that’s 38 meters (about 124 feet) long. They worked on the wall for 10 hours a day for an entire week, and have a plan to make sure everything runs smoothly when they set out to send them crashing down on Saturday.

“If a single domino budges before that day, everything will collapse,” Huwiler told 20 Minutes. But if everything goes as planned, they’ll be able to claim their throne!

The current record holder, a group from Germany, has held the record since June 2012. You can see their wall (and its demolition!) in the video below:
