As some of you may know, former football player Tim Tebow, an author and Christian leader, recently celebrated his 31st birthday and raised over $100,000 for special surgeries to help others in need.
Below are some of his achievements, written about in USA Today, if you aren’t familiar with who he is:
“2006 national title … As a freshman, Tebow played in Florida’s 41-14, to Ohio State … in 2007 BCS championship he had one passing and one rushing touchdown.”
“In 2007 he was a Heisman trophy winner … He was the first sophomore ever to win the Heisman Trophy in 2007, finishing with 32 passing touchdowns and 23 rushing touchdowns. In 2008, he won the national title, and in 2010, he was the first drafted in NFL pick…”
“…in 2011 AFC wild-card win over the Pittsburgh Steelers … Even the storied Steelers couldn’t avoid ‘Tebow Time.’ On the first play from scrimmage in overtime, Tebow hit receiver Demaryius Thomas for an 80-yard game-winning touchdown play. It is the longest overtime touchdown in NFL playoff history, and Tebow’s finest NFL moment.”

For Tebow’s special birthday this past month, he wanted to donate and raise money for a special cause. He is one of those role models who is constantly giving back, from his special needs prom he does annually throughout the country to his other philanthropic work. Tebow really is a wonderful man of God, and I should say a Proverbs 31 man. He shines for Christ on or off the football field and is winning many souls to Christ.
