Tim Tebow’s Night to Shine Event Honors Those With Special Needs

Heisman trophy winner, author and public figure Tim Tebow is known for his prayer pose in football and the verses painted under his eyes for football games. He gives back annually through his Night to Shine event honoring those with special needs. Tebow hosts an annual event all over the United States, and partners with different churches and ministries. He is someone who is not only a godly man and a role model, but a doer of the Word. He gives back to those in need and to those who have no voice.

At the Night to Shine events, those with special needs get to dress up, attend a prom type of event, and are all crowned kings and queens for the night. This is a beyond-magical event with many different participants from local church volunteers to different church staff who host the event. The Night to Shine red-carpet evening of honor takes many hands and hearts to make it happen. It is so beautiful to see those who may feel neglected or who don’t get to experience a special night out get served and treated like gold. The Lord tells us to defend and speak up for those who are neglected, and Tebow’s ministry is doing just that.

Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those being crushed. (Proverbs 31:8)

Do you think your church may be interested in hosting a Night to Shine event? Would you like to be a part of this magical evening by serving or participating? Maybe you can’t go to one of these outreach events, but perhaps you can give?

Here is the official website where you can be part of this honorable charity work that Tim Tebow has initiated. He cannot do it without the prayers, the love, the help and the service of many churches. Pray that people will continue to be impacted and that God gets His glory through these special galas.

“Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God’s love, for people with special needs ages 14 and older. On one night, February 9, 2018, 537 churches from around the world came together to host Night to Shine for approximately 90,000 honored guests through the support of 175,000 volunteers.” —Tim Tebow Foundation

Some of the royal treatment the guests get to experience are a shoe shine, red-carpet entry and professional photographs taken so they can reflect on the night. The girls get their hair and makeup done, and all the guests get a great DJ, dancing on a dance floor, a ride in a limo and more!
