TODAY’S HOT TOPIC: Do You Carry a Lot of “Baggage”?

Ladies, I’ve discussed adversity a lot on PI. This is because I feel that many difficulties often determine how we deal with our day-to-day life and future. Sometimes this is a good thing, because we use these experiences in a positive way. They make us stronger. But so many times we allow bad experiences and past hurt to determine our future in a negative way. We carry it with us and allow it to weigh our spirits down.

When we consume ourselves with adversity, we’re carrying baggage! What does that mean?

Following is an awesome video by the Skit Guys. They do a fantastic job of explaining the concept of “baggage,” why it’s not good and how you can get rid of it!

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28)

The Skit Guys do a great job reminding us that baggage can weigh us down emotionally and how Christ is there to relieve us of it.  I pray that you take this message to heart, because it is one that can help you avoid so much unnecessary struggle in your life!

If you enjoyed their skit, you should check them out on JCTV and the NRB. They also have an awesome website with tons of fun videos.

Hey sweet girls!! Do you find that you are carrying some baggage? How does it make you feel to know that Christ is willing to take it off your shoulders?
