TODAY’S HOT TOPIC: Lauren Scruggs Has a Message for All Young Girls on “I Am Second”

A year ago, we told you about beautiful model and fashion blogger Lauren Scruggs, and how she accidently walked into a moving propeller after de-boarding a small two-seater plane.

We’ve since followed her story and recovery. And I thought you’d all love to know that Scruggs is a recent addition to the “I Am Second” movement. Scruggs and her parents share their story about that terrible night, the recovery process and the faith that inspired them all.

Beautiful girls! You just have to watch this emotional testimony. It’s an awesome demonstration of faith, and it’s a reminder that God has a plan.

I think I’m seeing that this life is way bigger than me and that, I think a lot of things that I held important earlier or even in my career were quite shallow and I just want to use what I’ve been through to talk to young girls and let them know that our appearance is not what defines us, even just insecurities that we may hold on to don’t define us…God has such a different plan and oftentimes it’s shocking or unexpected but it’s still something really beautiful and I want to use that. (Lauren Scruggs)

Dear God: I know that my life is in Your hands. And there’s no other place I’d rather be. TMG

What about you ladies! Can you think of a better place to be? Can you entrust your life in God’s hands?
