TODAY’S HOT TOPIC: Meet Karen and Listen to Her Story on Real Beauty

Ladies, do you want to meet a woman with strength, courage and real beauty? She’s someone who was born with many challenges and her scars are visible, so they’re often the focus to those who meet her.

Her name is Karen and she is blessed with such a strong faith and love for Christ, it’s breathtaking!

I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well (Psalm 139:14).

In a world in which physical beauty usually dictates how people treat you, I can only imagine the difficulties Karen has had to endure–above and beyond the story she shared with us. I am overwhelmed by her faith.

Karen is truly an inspiration. And she is the epitome of the kind of beauty that Christ calls for us all to aspire to.

Girlies, what did Karen teach you about real beauty? Do you ever find that you’re caught up more with physical beauty rather than the beauty of your heart?

    1. 🙂 When she smiled, you could just see the courage, beauty, and love shining through. I’m thankful that God didn’t make my life as hard as Karen’s. It really makes you think about the importance of what you look like (meaning that it has no importance). 🙂 Would love to meet her one day.

    2. Thank you for sharing this video. It truly inspired me, and I am sometimes caught up in physical beauty, rather than the beauty of my heart, but this video has shown me that physical beauty does not matter. It is what is inside the heart that truly counts.

    3. This is truly inspiring, Her faith is amazing and so inspiring to all of us girls that think physical beauty is just so important. I feel more aware about how blessed I am and how beautiful God made me.

    4. Wow, why am I always complaining about the way I look! I need to stop it now and this video is so inspiring it made me realizes I have lots to be thankful for. Karen is such a beautiful lady! I wish I had such beautiful inside to be as bold and brave as she is. <3

    5. this brought tears to my eyes. What a brave, beautiful, and precious woman. She really makes me think about how I spend too much time on my appearance, and I need to work on that because I’m not perfect. Her story and her love for God left me speechless. 🙂

    6. I watched the video earlier now I’m back to comment! I think it’s so cool that God can give someone the strength to live confidently when society pushes you so much about appearance! Nowadays for people my age it’s so hard to love yourself because your not skinny and tall! People always put me down about my weight! I wish I could really just be and look how I want to look but it’s so hard when people push you to be a certain way…:/

    7. i watched this already but i had to watch it again 🙂 this is so gorgeous 😀 You can just see God’s love shining out of her! I wish i could be more like that and i would love to meet her one day. I think she has the most amazing eyes 🙂 they’re such a pretty colour and the expression in them is really sweet throughout the whole video. She was such a gorgeous little kid too 🙂 She’s so authentic and easy to relate to. I know what it’s like when people treat me different because of something superficial. It happens quite a lot. Seeing this video made me realise that it doesn’t matter. They are only people’s opinions. They don’t define me, God does. They aren’t the source of my self-esteem, God is. They can hurt me, but God can heal me.

    8. That really inspired me! I loved what she said about taking things for granted, because it is so true! I have always taken for granted that God created me with no physical deformities. But really, Ms. Karen is very real, and very beautiful, because she has God’s love. She is not ‘deformed,’ because she is who God made her to be! Thanks so much for sharing.

    9. This is so wonderful, Karen seems like a truly beautiful person with a great heart. It’s so easy to judge others by their appearance and forget that they’re a person just like you, and God loves them, too.

    10. This Video has really touched my heart. Through struggling with an eating an eating disorder and also self image issues I realized that God loved me no matter what. I do not need the approval of people but his. She is a blessing and may God bless her. I thank him for using her for saving my life. 🙂 Thank you for posting this video!

    11. Even though, Karen has a disabilty she didn’t count herself out at thinking wrongly about people. She included herself! I think that’s awesome. Most of us are normal people with all our bones and have no disability, but she isn’t and most people would have been sad for her and thought, “Wow, she must never think badly about herself or others.” But, she also struggles with the same sins too!

    12. I would love to meet this woman. She must have such extraordinary character! Giving glory to God through it all. When one sees people such as Karen with great strength and joy, how can one complain? All the complaints you have about your life, really lose all validity in light of what Karen must live though. I’m talking about the nitpicking we do of our own looks, being unhappy because of our social status, etc. Someone somewhere likely has it harder than you have it. You are blessed! You are beautiful! You are God’s!
