TODAY’S HOT TOPIC: What Are You Looking Forward To In 2013?

The New Year is always an exciting time – we’re all making resolutions to improve ourselves and our faith during the next year, and of course there are plenty of parties and other holiday activities.

So what are you gorgeous PI girls looking forward to in 2013? Are you…celebrating any significant birthdays or other milestones? Going to your first school dance (or to Prom!)? Getting your driver’s license? Graduating and starting college?

Most importantly, how do you want to grow in your faith this year? Setting spiritual goals is the most important kind of New Year’s resolution – your faith is your foundation that will let you accomplish all of your other goals!

No matter what happens in 2013, keep in mind that each new year (and even new day) is a special gift and another chance to glorify God – and a chance to reflect upon how you have grown in your faith and holiness over the past year.

The unfailing love of the LORD never ends! By his mercies we have been kept from complete destruction. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each day. I say to myself, “The LORD is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!” Lamentations 3:22-24

There’s something remarkably beautiful about the knowledge that the Lord has created each New Year and new day full of fresh opportunities for each of us. So what are you looking forward to most in the next year?

    Team Project Inspired
We here at Project Inspired want to guide and inspire teen girls to be true to themselves and to God. We want to show young girls how to be people of value and confidence – how to be your own best selves – through leading a Christian life. Who are we? We're a team of girls, like you. We edit the site, we post to social media, we hang out in the chat rooms and forums. We talk with you, we listen to you, and we love you!

    1. I’m looking forward most to all the great times I know I’ll have with my youth group! I might also be getting my driver’s license. My main spiritual goal is that no matter what I won’t lose faith in God. Please also pray for me, ladies.

    2. I’m looking forward to celebrating a year with knowing Christ. Just turning 16, I’m also ready for the changes God is doing in my heart and life and just beginning to date again I still want to stay faithful to my husband when God is ready for me to meet him, and taking this year day by day by knowing Christ just more and more! @Musiclover88 praying for ya sis!

    3. This new year is going to be a big part in my life. I will be going to prom and graduating high school, moving on to college, finally getting a drivers license haha. It’s so crazy to think about how fast everything is moving, and I still have so much to finish involving school and work. But I know most importantly what I want is to treasure Jesus, to adore him, and let him love me, which is what I have been struggling with the past year, letting God love me. We have to try and stop thinking we have to earn God’s love, we can move on to so much greater things, and just really learn to fall in love with Jesus, with him as our savior, redeemer and God as our father. There is so much we can do this year, there are so many people to love, and ways to grow, cherish and love. That’s what I truly want this year to be about.

    4. I really want to grow stronger in my faith, I have been struggling and I really want to live for God! 🙂 I want to learn to let Him have control in my life, and try not to plan it all.
Also I will be turning 16 and getting my drivers permit!

    5. I’m looking forward to graduating this year, but I’m also scared for what the future brings. The idea of growing up and becoming independent from my family really frightens me. I love my family so much and can’t accept the fact that I can’t be with them every day for the rest of my life. I also don’t know what exactly I want to do with my life, and what I should go to college for. I won’t stop praying to God for wisdom though because he knows my future and what is best for me!

    6. Driver’s licence :), first job, and growing closer to God. One of my spiritual “New Year’s resolutions” is to be content with where I am right now (no boyfriend or best friend, mainly) and “Delight in the the LORD with all my heart.” 🙂

    7. Hopefully my writing will pick up! I got published last year (short story), but I’m ready for a bigger milestone! Spiritually, I wanna start doing devotions regularly and to get more comfortable praying.

    8. I realized recently that I believe in God, but I do not have a very strong relationship with Him. Also, now that I am in high school my faith is growing weaker. I have found myself wanting to serve God less, and going through the motions. This year I hope to change all of that.

    9. I’m looking for to getting closer to Jesus Christ and doing God’s will. I am ready for the new friendships and other relationships that God has placed in my life to be where they need to be. I am looking for to seeing many come to Christ. I am looking forward to being and inspiration and not an uninspirational person.

    10. Since this is the firs year any guy has ever liked me… and since i sort of like him back, i need to ask God to help me guard my heart well. This past year i have learned to put my faith in Him and how hard following Him can be when i cant see the path in front of me! But i pray to continue learning more and following Him and trusting Him with my future!! I should be getting my drivers licence by summertime and getting a job soon to help pay for the senior trip to england and france in spring of 2014!! Although my journey already looks very troublesome and full of trials, as it hasn’t failed to be up until this point, i have much to look forward to and even more to praise and thank God for! I cant wait!
