TODAY’S HOT TOPIC: Why is Kindness So Contagious?
Written by T.M. Gaouette | December 19, 2012
Hey sweet girls! We’ve discussed acts of kindness many times on PI. This is primarily because Christ is the epitome of love and kindness, and as Christians, we are to be Christ-like in our actions.
But have you noticed that when someone is kind to you, you’re more likely to be kind to someone else? Why is that? Maybe it’s because our spirits are lifted when someone offers us an act of kindness, so we’re inspired to do something good for someone else. Maybe it’s because we feel obligated to do something for someone else, as “payment” for the good that was done to us. Or maybe we feel so blessed and loved that we want others to feel that way, too.
Check out this cool video! It’s an illustration of how kindness is contagious.
The other great thing about this clip is that it demonstrates that an act of kindness doesn’t have to be a huge expensive deed.
So what do you think, ladies? Why do you think that kindness is contagious? Have you been on the receiving end of an act of kindness, and did it inspire you to “pay it forward”?
