Top 10 Ways to Make the World a Better Place–Right Now!

Girls, I want us to inspire one another!

I asked Project Inspired’s Facebook fans what we can be doing NOW to make the world a better place. These are some of my favorite responses–which ones will you try?!

Michelle Anne Cecilia Otterson said:

Volunteering, whether it be at an animal shelter, homeless shelter, food pantry, etc. Just helping out in the community in general!

Kylie Spinelli said:

Be a good example. Dress modestly, love everyone, be kind and faithful, and don’t be afraid of your faith! 😀

Ada Maude Hibaler said:

Through your actions, you can already be someone that could contribute for the betterment of your society. So, I guess what I can do for now is to be a Christian model, through the words from my mouth and my actions. And in the future, share the word of God (the most important thing in the world).

Amanda Alreck said:

Stay positive and let Christ shine through everything you do 🙂

Charlotte Bloom said:

You can do SO MUCH–by choosing NOT to do harm, you serve God. Each decision you make will create an impact of infinite measure. Compost. Recycle. Research the products you buy (labor laws, environment, etc.). Save water. Don’t waste food or other resources. Speak up against bullies.

Joanne Lambo said:

Help encourage others by sending Bible verses every day. 🙂

Jenna MacFarlane said:

Use your talents for God’s glory. If you can sing, then sing. If you can dance, then dance. Love those who treat you right, and forgive those who don’t.

Cortney Banning said:

Start a Bible study at your school!

Rachel McLachlan said:

I guess treating others the way I would want to be treated. Like being nicer to everyone around me, no matter what kind of trouble they might give me.

Faith Elizabeth Lippolt said:

Live for Jesus! You can witness to everyone around you without doing anything. When people see us, they should see God. They’ll see our joy and they’ll want to know how we got it. 🙂

I think we shouldn’t litter or spit and anything else that can spoil our world and just throw away our trash in trashcans and spit in trashcans or something appropriate. We should clean up the world and help people when they really need it. 😉

This article is great! I just wanted to share my very fresh experience of making the world a better place. This past weekend a my hometown and its neighboring city hosted a Relay for Life event, which is by the American Cancer Society. In honor of one of the teen’s mother who just lost a 11 year fight to Breast Cancer (though it’s joyous that she is in Heaven with her creator now). At this 16 hour event you walk a track and raise money for cancer research. What I did to make a difference? Well the one thing that got me really excited was that I’ve put in pink hair extensions in support of Breast cancer, but I also made the decision at 3am to walk 100 laps on the track. And I did, even though when I was nearing my goal I had swollen feet and blisters, sore legs, and I was tired- I did it. I so wanted to stop, but you know cancer patients can’t stop. They have to fight to be there for their family and friends, and even though some don’t know this- they have God. So even though I’m sore and tired, not just today but any day, I know I have God and I have my faith family to support me. This event was not Christian by any chance, but when it came to dedication hour (there was a DJ there playing music the entire time) my youth group and I put in all our favorite worship songs and worshiped the Lord. Thats how I’ve made a difference, this weekend- there are so many opportunities ahead of me, I don’t know what I’ll do, but I know one thing. I’ll always love God. 🙂

There are two sites that I love to go to, one is Helpfromhome.org. It’s pretty much an online volunteering site, and it’s so much fun! You can help out so many people all while sitting in your pajamas. I also love Wishuponahero.com. It’s a site where you grant wishes to people. You can send out birthday cards and presents to someone who cant afford to get their kids anything for their birthday, or you can donate to someone who has a medical condition, or to a charity, etc. Pretty much anything! Another great thing to do is volunteer for your local Habitat for Humanity. It’s pretty cool to help build a house for someone who needs it.
