Top 5 Affordable Boots for Fall

Fall is one of our favorite seasons of the year. The weather is crisp, the leaves are changing into beautiful colors and it’s time to officially break out one of our favorite types of shoes: boots! Warm and cozy, boots look great with nearly any outfit and ensure that your toes will be protected and comfortable all fall and winter long.

While an investment in a solid (but pricey) brand like Frye is awesome and will last through many years of wear, we know that shelling out that kind of cash isn’t an opportunity many teens have. So instead, we went on the lookout for five reasonably-priced and cute boots that will, if nothing else, last you through this cold season and keep you in style. Who’s ready to go shoe shopping?

These are the ultimate staple—tall black boots. They look great over jeans, under jeans, and with skirts and dresses. Simple by design, these faux leather boots have a hidden side zipper, stacked heel, padded insole and textured outsole. Back heel height is approximately 0.85 inch and the outsole is 100 percent rubber. (Forever 21, $40)

Southwestern patterns are all the rage right now, so these simple but gorgeous brown boots with fabric tops will be your ultimate 2013 boot. These faux leather boots feature a woven pattern shaft with zipper plackets along the inner sides. Padded insole with textured outsole. (Forever 21, $40)

Even if you’ll never consider yourself a “biker chick,” that doesn’t mean you can’t sport rocker-worthy moto biker boots. Pair these faux leather booties with skinny jeans and a cute top or tee for an awesome look. They feature a ribbed shaft, decorative buckled straps with high-polish hardware and zipper plackets along the inner sides. Padded insole with textured outsole. (Forever 21, $40)

Again, “combat boots” might not exactly scream your name if you consider yourself pretty girlie or preppy, but as the above shoe proves, combat boots can be pretty darn cute. It’s always good to have a solid pair of brown boots around, and mid-height is a great way to go if you’ve got athletic calves (which can make wearing tall boots hard). These faux leather beauties feature buckled straps and a lace-up top with an exposed zipper placket. (Forever 21, $40)

Booties are an awesome boot to grab and go. They look great over skinny jeans or under boot-cut jeans and even pair well with some dresses and skirts. They’re a little less warm since they’re shorter, but provide the same comfort and warmth where it really counts. They look great paired with leg warmers on top! Also available in black, these distressed faux leather booties feature a studded toe and decorative ankle strap with vented sides. (Forever 21, $37)

Some of our other favorite styles and selections? Tall buckle boots, classic riding boots, buckle booties, white combat boots, studded leather booties, suede booties and biker boots (all from Forever 21; see links for photos and prices). In the market for rain boots? We love this $20 floral pair from Wet Seal.

        • I guess it depends on the person. I can barely afford to get things at Target. And UGGS for $200? Unless you’d plan to run a marathon in them, I don’t think you’d need boots that cost that much…

        • Yeah, I would never buy boots that cost $200, or $70, really. I just can’t afford boots in general! But they do look nice!

      • I am always surprised at the price of shoes, especially boots. I’ve found a trick to finding cheeper shoe prices if you have small feet. Check out the kids department. Most of them (especially dress boots and flats) look like adult shoes. My mom (size 6) and me (size 4) got boots at Walmart for $15 each. Mine look like the first pair on here.

    1. I have “Bearpaw” boots that are a better alternative to UGGS, and honestly…they are comfier and I like them more than I liked my UGGS! I don’t have any pairs of…like leather boots, I just have what I call “comfy” boots which are like suede on the outside with sherpa lining or whatever. But I like these prices, so thank you! 😀

    2. I saw some people saying they needed more affordable prices. I have heard good things about Target for quality, comfort and affordability. Personally I love shopping Charlotte Russe because they have shoe sales every Tuesday. Just some more options 🙂
