Top 5 Natural Lipsticks We Love

Back in July, we rounded up our favorite lip glosses for you girls to try out and debate your top picks. You had a wide variety of opinions and comments, which got us thinking about our favorite lipsticks. While there are tons of options out there in every price range, we were super inspired by the all-natural lines that don’t include the ewww factor (crushed bugs and/or fish scales) of more conventional lipsticks. And this, friends, is why it’s so important to know what’s in everything you put in or on your body!

To help you get started in the quest for your ultimate everyday lipstick, we’ve rounded up five of our top picks! We can’t wait to see what you think and hear all about your already hard-earned favorites in the comments below.

Psst: check out our DIY tutorial on making your own natural lip balm!

As you may have noticed from previous beauty roundups, we love the UK-based brand Lush, maker of amazing vegan beauty products. Their dusty rose color called “Perspective” works on a wide range of skin tones and is great for daily wear. The tube is pricey, but the jojoba oil and rose wax base guarantees smooth, hydrated lips. (LushUSA, $19)

Looking for a deep, fun shade of red? Tango Vegan Lipstick is made from all-natural ingredients, nourishing your lips with plant-derived oils and waxes that are colored with mineral pigments. No chemicals, animal by-products or other uglies. Stunning! (Just Pure Mineral Shops, $9. Samples are also available for just $1.)

These natural, earth-tone hues will give your lips beautiful color and prevent chapping. Certified organic shea butter, alkanet root and certified organic herbs deliver moisture and a healthy glow. (Noir Liliana, $8)

This lovely mocha plum lipstick with a hint of glitter can also serve as a blush for your cheeks. Natural minerals, micas and pigments are combined into a formula that goes on easily and delivers a lasting pop of color. Your lips will feel wonderful and stay protected. (Nature’s Purity Bath, $5.50)

Bare Minerals lipsticks feature a blend of exotic oils, natural waxes and plant extracts. Best of all, there are no chemical preservatives or artificial dyes, which can irritate lips and dry them out. We’re digging this gorgeous berry color that’s lightly scented with natural lavender oil…smells great and great for your lips! (Sephora, $15)

PI Girls, do you have a favorite lipstick brand? Planning to try out any of our picks in the future? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!

I love the Cover Girl XOXO lip sticks. They are really good and perfect for teens because it is a little more grown up than lip gloss but it is not really lipstick in that it is a lot lighter. 🙂
