Have you ever heard the fashion “rule” about not wearing white after Labor Day? Though we aren’t sure where it originated, it’s been repeated and handed down through generations of women. But more recently, that “rule” has started to disappear from the fashion world!
First came “winter white,” followed by multiple white garments on the fashion runways and in your favorite stores every season. So even though white jeans in November may not be very practical, there are several white clothing items you can (and should!) sport throughout the colder months ahead.
Here are five of our favorite white looks to sport after Labor Day:
While eyelet may seem to scream summer (it does have holes in it, after all!), you can keep warm and look adorable with a fully lined version. This sleeveless allover eyelet fit-and-flare dress has an adorable cut that would look awesome paired with black tights and a cardigan. Back zipper and elastic waist for comfortable fit. Fully lined. (Delias, $10)
Solid white jeans may not be ideal in the fall and winter (hello, rain and mud!), but white jeans with a muted print are still a good option. Pair cute floral jeans like these with black flats and a dark top that matches the print. (Delias, $15)
We love white kicks all year round! These super cool and edgy high top sneakers include a solid canvas body, faux leather accents, round toe, lace up front, textured sole, and side zipper with embellished rhinestones and studs. (Wet Seal, $15)
No matter what color camisole you decide to wear underneath, you can wrap yourself in this chic top that features a semi-sheer woven overlay crossover body, scoop neckline, comfortable fit, back button closure and a round hemline. It looks great paired with black pants and fun accessories, as seen on this model. (Wet Seal, $23)
Peplum is adorable and feminine, and lace is the perfect way to transition a white top to fall. Romantic and long sleeved (perfect!), this top would look awesome layered over a white cami and paired with jeans or a chic skirt. (Delias, $15)
ACCESSORY BONUS!
Accessories can also get in on the fun! We love these white feather cascading earrings, which would look awesome paired with a dress of almost any shade. (Wet Seal, $3.25)

I love white! I love wearing white, I love seeing others wearing white. And I am not realky a girly-girl, but one thing I can NEVER resist is white lace. I ADORE the last shirt.
Everything but the 4th one it looks kinda weird :/
I can’t reseist white lace either!! And I’ve so been wanting a simple white dress!!!
I love the lace top and the earrings! I do like the eyelet dress and the white jeans, though. Not too sure about the sheer top, though. I guess tops that fall a little lower and have a straight or high-low hemline. They’re all cute, though. 🙂
I love the lace top! 🙂

I never listen to stupid fashion ‘rules’. I wear what I want when I want so long as Im modest. 😉 Im a pretty crazy dresser. I had a pair of killer white jeans until recently.
I like the lace top and the dress best.
Love the lace peplum top and the floral jeans! Perfect for fall. 🙂
I like the earrings and eyelet dress!
Just being honest here, the pattern of the pants are fine, but it is the tightness I don’t like. If it looks like your pants are basically buttered on your skin and you cant pull much when you try to stretch it while it is on you, I’d stay away from that. That’s one of the reasons why I don’t wear skinny jeans- there’s only one purpose, that being to make people look at your shape…
YES! I totally agreed with Rhoda! I hate skinny jeans! I’m tired of seeing them everywhere! Please strongly consider showing flared or bootcut jeans, or even straight jeans I sometimes like.
I like the dress. 🙂
I like the dress and the peplum top!
ooohhh I LOVEEEE those earrings! I should have known they were from Wet Seal, that store is fantastic (:
I have earrings like those. I got them from Ardene.
