“Walk on the Water” by Britt Nicole

Hi Project Inspired Girls! This week, I chose to cover Britt Nicole’s “Walk on the Water,” as it has impacted my life and I also LOVE her as an artist. Britt Nicole is a wonderful role model for young women, is a passionate Christian and has greatly impacted the Christian music industry. Her music touched my life so much, encouraged me to continue to pursue my dreams and inspired me in my own music.

For those of you unfamiliar with Britt Nicole, she is a Christian singer whose album “The Lost Get Found” was released in 2009 and has touched thousands of lives since. She can be seen on the JCTV music channel and her music is played regularly on Christian radio. She resides in Nashville, where she initially moved to jumpstart her music career in singing/songwriting. Her latest single is called “Gold,” and it is available on iTunes.

“Walk on the Water” really speaks about stepping out, not giving up, not letting your insecurities hold you back, reaching out and being who God called you to be!

Some of my favorite lyrics from “Walk on the Water” are:

“What do you have to lose?

Your insecurities try to alter you

You know you’re made for more,

Don’t be afraid to move, your faith is all it takes,

and you can walk on the water too!!”
