Was 2012 a Good Year For You?

As the year comes to an end, I’ve been looking back on the great things that took place during 2012. I believe that we should all end every year by recalling  the amazing blessings, great and small, that God has bestowed upon us! Don’t you agree?

I’ve received many blessings in 2012! Not only did my family and I have some great times together and created some awesome memories, I published my fiction novel, The Destiny of Sunshine Ranch, I had a fantastic year with Project Inspired and I’ve strengthened my relationship with God.

Sure, it wasn’t all rosy in 2012, but focusing on the good, remembering the fun times and being grateful for all that is good, should be our goal.

I’m so excited for 2013. I don’t have any specific plans, except to write more fiction and glorify God in everything that I say and do. The rest I will leave in God’s hands!

So sweet girls! How was 2012 for you? I really hope that you all take a moment to remember the blessings of the past year. And if you would like to share one with us, we would love to hear how this past year was good for you!

    1. It brought a lot of tears and Joy. I have sooo many blessings from God. I hope 2013 will bright a lot of joy and allow me to have a stronger relationship with God. I Have a lot of struggles i need to work on ,but I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.

    2. Made so many new friends everywhere, gained new positive outlooks, ate lots of delicious foods, learned how to cook somethings. Went on a mission trip. Became soooooo very much closer to god. God healed my relationship with my sister through many tears and forgiveness and acceptance. I found new bible study groups and other ways to learn about Christ. I got more involved in PI and feel I’m making a difference in at least a couple lives. I thank God for the tears, the laughs, the smiles, the hard times, and the good times, they all brought me closer to Him and where I am now. No, life was definitely NOT perfect as you said, but I can look back now and see that it ended well. 🙂 Yeah, it was a pretty good year.

    3. I would like to start off by saying that 2012 has been the best year of my life! I’ve still had a few rough spots here and there, but the amount of blessings God has given me is so much greater! I’ve accepted Jesus as my Lord and Saviour, made a lot of amazing friends, gotten to the point where I love my church family soooo much, made lots and lots of great new memories, and I’ve grown closer and closer to God now. I don’t really know how I can thank God enough for all the blessings He’s given me!

    4. 2012 has definitely been a crazy year for me. I went through 8 months of mild depression but serious doubt. It went from me doubting God’s power and authority in my life to me questioning His very existence. All this coming from a girl who was raised in a Christian home, went to church since she was a baby, and started a bible study. After many struggles, God showed me who He is and the amazing thing is that I don’t understand half of it. Think about this: Some God comes and creates the universe then He sends a son, who says He is God, to “save us.” Then, the God wants us to telepathically communicate with Him? Sounds crazy when I put it that way, right? Anway, it didn’t make any since to me but then a friend told me this: “It’s not supposed to make sense! We aren’t meant to understand any of it! That’s what makes it so awesome!!!” Then I realized she was right. God has a perfect and marvelous plan that not one person comprehends. I came to know Christ better than I ever had and even rededicated my life to Him. I want to live everyday as if it’s my last. And I can’t wait for the day when I meet Jesus and everything is revealed. His love is sooooooo powerful!!!! NEVER.GIVE.UP. The CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE loves me.

    5. Okay, I have a lot to say! 😀 First off, I think that it’s so cool that you are a writer! I really am trying to get into writing, but I have a hard time finding, well, inspiration I have a ton of ideas but I think of them in the moment and then later fail to get them typed in a Word document. Secondly, I have had a very, VERY, emotional year. I basically became a Christian and them lost half of my family. Sure, I said I was “Christian” and had good morals, but I just didn’t live and think for God. Most of the emotions came from losing my family last December through now (currently battleing). In 2013 I hope to, A, get straight A’s (no pun intended). B, add stregnth to my relationship with God. Also, C, I plan to start “living in the moment” more and worrying about the past/ future LESS. If anyone actually read through this then THANKS, I may not be a writer but I am a ranter! XD

      • Thanks so much for sharing. As for writing, it’s not easy. If you don’t get notes typed up in time, get a handy notebook and carry it with you. That’s always a great start and you can get good ideas on paper so that you don’t forget them. That’s how I start every novel. God bless your endeavors!

    6. 2012 was a great year for me because I was baptized on october 20th. God has blessed me much this year. . This website has been a blessing to me. Can’t wait to see what god has in store for me in 2013.

    7. I had sooo many blessings happen to me! I went to church camp for the first time, went to to my favorite country and saw my aunt there, got to go graduate from something at my church called Gatekeepers, found out a guy likes me (from my mom, anyway). I pray that God will give me many blessings in 2013 and have a happy new year, PI girls! 🙂

    8. Lately I’ve been thinking how it’s been almost a year since I’ve gaven my life to Christ! He’s shaped, worked, and blessed me beyond with special people in my life to speak hope and discernment in to my walk with God! But most of all God had helped me grow with him and knowing his peace, love and grace for not only me but my brothers and sisters in Christ. God is indescribable!

Thank You Lord! 🙂 Nicole, you are an amazing person! I Love you very much! 🙂 Thanks for all you do! God Bless You!

    10. I’m so blessed to have started high school and made many new friends. I also had the amazing opportunity to return to Guatemala on another mission trip, during which time I also got to know the amazing guy that is now my first boyfriend. He has been such a blessing in helping me grow over the past six months, and I’m excited for what is to come in 2013. I can’t wait to see what God is planning for us and the new year. <3

    11. I didn’t get to see my dad for half of the year, I was diagnosed with depression, I lost a lot of really good friends, got further from God than I’ve ever been, oh, and I found out I’m bipolar and possibly OCD…so no. Not a good year for me.

    12. ive had a tough year, some are gd things and some are not so gd. even though i praise the lord for being alive in this world and i am able to worship and pray to him anytime i want. i have had times when i had started crying and suffered and have wanted to commir suicide but then stopped myself from doing. this year has been my worst year ive experinced in my life.

    13. In 2011, many amazing things happened to me that really began the strengthening of my relationship with God. It was when I moved north and met my best friend, who God used to bring me closer to Him. I went to her youth group a lot, and learned just how much God loves me. That was an amazing year for me. In 2012, I had moved again; this time, I went south. Despite my being far away from my best friends, I think our friendship, and my relationship with God, have strengthened more than ever. We still talk every day, a lot, and she once said that she feels we’ve gotten closer. Also, I haven’t been to her church in a while; I used to go to her youth group, and her church, every time I got a chance to. Now, I can’t go as much, but I’m a Catholic, and she’s nondenominational. Although I loved her youth group because it was where I first realized just how much stronger my relationship with Jesus can get, I have had way more time to think about this myself. God used my friend and many friends I met because of her to change my life this far, but now, I feel that it’s time for Him to work in me Himself. Sometimes I think about how He wouldn’t have gotten through to me unless He brought my friend into my life, but now, I’m listening for Him. I don’t know what else He’ll do, but I can’t wait to see what happens in 2013! 🙂

    14. Let’s just say, I hope 2013 will be a better year. But in 2012, I’ve been blessed with an amazing family. I love them with all my heart and I’m so glad I get to see them as much as I get to. (:

    15. Graduating from college in 2012 was a big blessing for me everyone in vesid (government) said they would try it for me for 1 year back in 2009 and when I pass my first year everyone was shocked and so was I today I enjoy having an assoicates degree in adminstrative information technology and management from Hudson valley community college

    16. This year I was able to overcome my shyness even more and made alot of new friends. I joined an awesome bible study at my school! Went on a really fun face painting job with my art club! In some ways this year was awesome and I learned alot about myself and grew in my faith in God. But growing in my faith isn’t always the easy, happy parts. There has been some really rough times, my grandmother died in january and this was my first christmas with out her, one of my close friends had to go to a different school, and I’m learning to drive(and no good at it):/ But the important thing is, I have definitely learned through these hard times that I can follow God anywhere. Through the rain when I can’t see my hand in front of my face, I still am able to hear God and follow Him. I trust Him more now than I ever have before! Thank you Project Inspired for being one of the greatest things God gave me this year to help me get closer to Him and help me through tough times! <3<3<3

    17. 2012 was a good Year for me it brought so many memorise and joy and happiness and good Happy family times and also friendship. In good times and bad times me and my family and friends ALWAYS get along.

    18. Duing 2012 I got a lot closer to God. I also got to meet my fav pastor, David Hall, sing in front of 500 people and got to go on a missions trip to Nicaragua! (i’m still here! 🙂 lol Lots has happened in this year and its mostly been blessings in some way.
