Not long ago I was reading Psalm 148, which talks about creation praising God. Have you ever thought about what that must sound like?
Praise Him, sun and moon;
Praise Him, all stars of light!
Praise the Lord from the earth,
Sea monsters and all deeps;
Kings of the earth and all peoples;
Princes and all judges of the earth;
Let them praise the name of the Lord,
For His name alone is exalted;
His glory is above earth and heaven
(Psalm 148:3,7,11 & 13).
The Bible talks a lot about creation. Creation witnesses to us about God. Creation teaches us about God and the Bible says that creation praises God. And why shouldn’t creation praise God?! God created stars, rocks, trees and animals just like He created us, and we worship God, so it makes sense that the rest of His creation should worship Him, too.
Back to my initial question–have you ever thought about how it would sound if we could hear creation praising God? I’m a curious person by nature and when I get an idea or question in my mind, I go searching for an answer to satisfy my curiosity. In this case, I headed over to Google to see if I could find any videos about the sounds of creation.
Most of the videos I found were science-based–about the sounds different particles might make, which were cool–but this video of Louie Giglio actually talked about the Psalm I’d been reading and it has the most amazing mashup of creation’s praise.
Wasn’t that cool!? Those are only the sounds of a few of God’s creations–what would it sound like to hear all of creation praising our Lord?
PI Girls, now that you’ve heard this small portion of creation praising God, can you imagine what creation must’ve sounded like at the birth of Jesus Christ?
