What Does It Mean to be a Disciple of Christ?

At the end of every mass, my priest always says, “Now go forth and share the gospel.” As a disciple of Christ and His teaching, he is asking that each of us go further in spreading the Word. He is asking us to become disciples in our everyday lives. But what does that actually mean?

The following video is a great illustration of what discipling means. Check it out!

And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation” (Mark 16:15).

Ladies, to be a disciple of Christ, we not only accept the Word, but also we’re expected to share it with others. The former is easier to do than the latter! Some people feel that discipling is just too preachy. But Christians should share the gospel in both Word and deed. In other words, once we accept it, we should spread God’s Word and then we should live it by our actions.

Ladies, do you see yourself as a disciple of Christ?

    1. I love the way my pastor says the gospel. “God made it, We broke it, Jesus fixed it.” I find it easier to talk about God’s love for everyone to others, it opens up the conversation and they don’t put up so many walls. After all, Jesus isn’t coming back to the gospel has reached every corner of the world, so we might as well get sharing.

    2. this is good Monday night at this college group I go to now we were talking about being God’s Disciples. the lady that was talking there said that we are all missionaries no matter what our job is and that we don’t have to be prefect to be God’s disciples.
