What’s Happening with Owl City, Hillsong, Britt Nicole and More Music News!

Watch the full show, JUCE Music Insider, for October 2015 here:

The band The Afters has a new album out entitled Live on Forever, which is about hope, eternity, purpose and heaven. Josh Havens, the lead singer of the band, expressed in a recent interview that some of the band members had dealt with loss, and this album wants to share the message that we are made for more on this earth and that eternity is real. I love the new single “Live on Forever.” Click here to order the album.

Adam Young, aka Owl City, has a new album out called Mobile Orchestra. He collaborated with Jake Owen on the song “Back Home,” and partnered with Britt Nicole on the track “You’re Not Alone” and also with Hanson, the “MMMBop” boy band, on “Unbelievable.”

Go to owlcitymusic.com for exclusive behind-the-scenes videos and tour info, and to play the “Unbelievable Lyric Challenge.”

Hillsong Worship released their latest live album, entitled Open Heaven: River Wild, on October 16, 2015. Some new singles they released are “Love on the Line,” “One Thing,” “Transfiguration,” “What a Savior,” “Heart Like Heaven,” “Jesus I Need You,” “Here With You,” and more. Click here to listen or to purchase the album.

There is also the conference happening in New York in October! Is anyone attending? Make sure to go to hillsong.com to find out about their European conference and other amazing events around the globe!

Mat Kearney recently traveled the U.S. and recorded a new album called Just Kids. Click here to preview the album.

Many of you may already know this, but the Gospel Music Association hosted the annual Dove Awards (similar to the Grammys, but in honor of Christian/gospel artists, held in Nashville). The most recent ceremony was the 46th Annual GMA Dove Awards, and it aired on Trinity Broadcasting Network as well as the JUCE TV Network.

Lauren Daigle won for Song of the Year for “How Can It Be,” one of my favorite worship songs. She also won for New Artist of the Year. Lecrae won for “All I Need Is You” for  Rap/Hip-Hop Song of the Year. Seth Mosley won for Producer of the Year, and the Gaither Vocal Band won for Southern Gospel Artist of the Year and more.

You can go to the official Dove site to find the full list of winners this year.

Owl City is my favorite music artist. I might have freaked out just a little bit when I saw it on this post. I went to the On the Verge tour when it came to Denver last week. It was amazing!
