When the Parents of Christian Teen Girls Discover Texting…

Remember when your parents first began to embrace the concept of texting? It was so cute the way they were always confusing texts with emails, or signing off with “Love, Mom” or “xoxo, Dad,” as if that wasn’t already clear.

But it wasn’t long until “cute” turned into something closer to perpetual spamming, without the option of a filter. And while all sorts of teens are subject to parents who text them waaaay too much (think: 17 different pictures of the family dog in sweaters), young women of faith have been known to undergo a very unique struggle.

Here at PI, we’ve tried to capture that struggle in a series of hypothetical, but likely familiar, text-message conversations gone terribly, terribly wrong.

    Enjoy!

    1. My Mom’s said the last one to me before, only IRL, but since the guys @ Youth Group r all waaaaay younger than me (I’m 19, oldest is my bro @ 18 -_- ), she meant it about a cute, quiet Christian dude who goes to some of my community college classes….. go figure… sigh….
