Who’s Nicole’s Role Model? “My Wonderful Mom!”

For Project Inspired Day, I want to share with you girls who my role model is — my wonderful and hardworking mother. She sacrificed her teenage years and early adulthood by raising me and loving me unconditionally.

She had me at only 16, and she was my only parent. She always gave me the best opportunities she could, put me in the right schools and made sure I had proper clothes and food, even though we were on welfare and food stamps during my childhood. Through it all, she managed to go to college and earn great grades, from which she transferred to law school and became a lawyer.

She adopted my older sister Donna when Donna was 12, and then went on to have two boys who are my brothers, and then adopted one more little girl from American Samoa! So all in all, she has raised five kids!

I love her with all my heart, and I hope I will be just as great of a mom to my future kids as she is to me. I love you, Mom!

I have no idea why she’s holding my stomach here, haha!

My mom is my role modle too. She has gone through lots of the stuff you talked about in this article and it has made her a better woman. Mothers are a very strong breed of people.
