UPDATE – Why I Can’t Answer Your Personal Emails Anymore

    Hi Girls ~

This is a letter that is really difficult to write, but I need to be straight with you.

When this site was small (several hundred visitors per day), I got just a few emails from you, and I was able to answer every single one with thoughtfulness and care. I spent hours on my emails with you because connecting with you is one of the most special parts of Project Inspired for me.

But today? Today the site is HUGE. In just a few short months we are getting thousands and thousands of visitors every day, and I’m getting so many emails that I just can’t keep up. Every time I look at my inbox my heart breaks a little bit, because I know there are girls who are looking for answers and they are having to wait for days to get them.

I feel an enormous responsibility to respond when you write to me, so I have been trying to answer (and not just a two sentence email!) every single letter you write. Sometimes I’m up until 2:00 or 3:00 in the morning replying to your emails!

So, I’m clearing out my inbox over the next couple of days, and I will not accept any more emails to my personal address. If you’ve already emailed me, I will answer you! And of course, you can always email us here. My editorial team reads every email that comes in and sends me editorial ideas and articles that you submit.

I love you girls and I am so joyous at how you’ve connected with me and with Project Inspired. I do want to continue emailing with you, so I’m working on a solution.

Please hold tight. I will find a way!

[contact_box]UPDATE: I have been working hard with my team to come up with solutions for how I can answer your emails, and we have a couple of ideas:

    (1) I am going to introduce membership to the site so that we have “a more managed approach to access” (that’s straight from my web team!).

    (2) We’re going to partner with a counseling group so that I can steer you to just the right kind of adviser depending on what kind of help you need.

In the meantime, even though I can’t promise to respond to every email, please keep emailing me here with your thoughts and questions.[/contact_box]

    1. Thanks for letting us know, Nicole! It’s very thoughtful! I guess I can’t speak for everybody, but I know that I completely understand. You have a very busy life! Just keep inspiring us! I’ll be praying for a solution to this, but until then I’m sure you’ll do your very best with everything.

    2. Nicole,
Thank you for all that you do! Just pray for a solution to your problem! God always has a plan for us. “Answer when I call, my saving God. In my troubles, you cleared a way; show me favor, hear my prayer” (Psalm 4:2) Hope this helps!

    3. I totally understand why you have so many people on this site! I learned about it just a few weeks ago, and now I come daily. It really helps me connect with the lord and teaches things from a Godly value. Thanks for everything you have done and are doing 🙂

    4. I understand completly Nicole! I sent you a email about 2 weeks ago and its something thats been on my heart for awile and i was wondering if you were going to answer it? I understand you probably don’t have a lot of time so i can understand why you havn’t answer or can’t answer. I was just wondering if you were going to answer it. Thanks!

    5. What if you had like a panel of women to answer the emails? Like maybe the other bloggers on here, as well as other women you know and trust and you could all use the email and answer a few each day. also im sure the girls would understand if you spent maybe 5 or 10 minutes on each email instead of, say, 30. that way there would still be a place where girls could go to get encouragement and answers to problems they need help with without having to share everything to everyone in a comment.

      • I think it’s perfectly reasonable to want a break from emails!! I think you should go along with the idea that directs people to different advice sections of the website. God sent you a blessing to be the next Pericles, an awesome writer/speaker who inspires many.

    6. Thanks for the update. I totally understand and I admire you for coming right out and telling everyone why you can’t respond, instead of just leaving everyone hanging! I’ve only started visiting the sight recently so I don’t know what it was like when there were only a few hundred views a day, but I totally understand now that there are more people. And even though it means less personal responses, it’s a huge blessing that so many more people are getting to see what you’re doing!

    7. Although it is sad news that you can’t reply to personal emails, I am so happy that your site is growing in popularity! A site like this needs more viewers and readers! So instead of feeling sad about it, I am happier than before! Thank you for all that you do, Nicole! I know every single one of us appreciate you and how much time, effort, and heart into this website, and us! I’m praying that you guys can find a way to make this happen, I know you will! 🙂

    8. Nicole you and other bloggers try so hard. And I want you to know I appreciate all your posts so much. God works through you to me and to other girls. I can’t tell you how thankful I am for this website. I found it by a little add on Facebook little did I know I’d be coming to this website often.:) Thank you and everyone else SO MUCH for your blogs.
