Why It’s Good to Date in Groups

There are few things that are more exciting than spending time with a boy you really like! You spend hours with your “bestie” trying to figuring out what to wear. Your hair and makeup are redone an endless amount of times to get that perfect look! You’re really excited about your new guy friend! Does this sound familiar?

Well, dating can be really fun but it can also be challenging at times. When teenagers of the opposite sex spend a lot of alone time together they’re putting themselves into risky situations. The Bible says :

Stay awake, and pray that you won’t be tempted. You want to do what’s right, but you’re weak (Matthew 26:41.)

God knows that you have the intention of doing what’s right, but He also knows that it’s hard to resist temptation. Therefore, when you choose to avoid situations that have the potential to lead to ungodly behavior, it’s much easier to please God.

It’s easier to avoid sexual behavior when you’re dating in groups. When there’s more than one couple present on a date, then everyone is focused on enjoying the chosen activity rather than on engaging in physical intimacy. You can have fun getting to know your new guy without having to deal with any unwanted pressure. Even if you’ve been dating your guy for a long time, group dating is a way to prevent yourself from doing something that you’ll regret later. Remember, you’re God’s girl and He’s pleased when you wait until your married to have sex.

Group dating doesn’t have to be mundane. There are many exciting options to choose from. Stay tuned for my next post for some exciting recommendations for your next group date!

*And girls, STILL remain pure and don’t get peer pressured to have sex just because a boy wants you too! Please remember that!*

    1. I talked was talking with someone yesterday about dating and she said that dating isn’t really of God because it wasn’t in the bible and girls shouldn’t date, they should just let God do the work when it comes to finding a mate because he already knows. So I don’t know about dating period…..I just want to give it to Jesus…give it to God.

    2. my parents have a rule that i can date, but they have to come to…some girls would be angry about this rule, but i like it a lot…when i’m alone with a guy, i get really nervous, thinking he’s going to try something, and i know no guy in his right mind would try anything around a girl’s parents.
