Writing a Book to Make a Difference

As we all know Bullying has become a big problem. I know in recent articles here on PI everyone has discussed ways on how to handle bullies and what to do if you are being bullied. I myself have been a victim of bullying for 7 years now and I have a story to tell. My goal for a while now has been not only to help stop bullying, but also to give others going through the same thing to have Hope and be forgiving. That’s why I decided to write a book about it, I wanted people to hear my story and know that they aren’t alone, I want people who are being the bullies to realize what they are doing to people and stop! For all of you out there who are being bullied just know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Girls, you are Beautiful just the way God made you! don’t let anyone make you think differently.

My Book which will be titled: Words Do Hurt! Let’s end Bullying: My Story will be posted on Create space a self publishing site that has partnership with Amazon and you can have your book on sale after sending it to them within 24-48 hours and you get to pick the price for it to be sold for. My Dad’s book recently went on sale. I can’t wait to be able to send in my book once it’s finished. Then I will let Nicole know how you can purchase it if you choose to.

Here’s a preview of my book:

Right before I started public school did I ever think that now 15 yrs. old and just starting my junior year of high school that I would have this story to tell you. I mean yes I was only in 3rd grade when I started public school but I was pretty smart for a 3rd grader. That’s when my journey began. I spent kindergarten through 2nd grade in a private Christian school you know; relatively small everyone knew each other just about everyone was friends so when my brother and I began public school I had no clue how different it was going to be. Who knew that I would go through so much when the only 2 thoughts about it on my mind were, I don’t have to wear a uniform anymore, and I would ride a bus to and from school; because in private school a bus was only used for field trips. And that the public school was much bigger. I was excited, at the end of the first day though…not so much. That first day is vivid in my mind. Walking down the hall a boy passed by and stopped and pointed at me and stated “you are ugly!” I stood there shocked, I had never been called that before and honestly I didn’t know what to say because that remark had just left me speechless.

Philippians 4:13- “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength!”

    1. Wow, I know several kids in a similar situation as you- going to public school for the first time- and it’s quite a lot to adjust to. I personally have been going to public school since kindergarten, but I’m moved a lot and being the new kid is always hard and I get bullied now still, even as a high school sophomore! But I’ve found new hope and self-confidence through things like faith in God and loved ones who outnumber the mean kids. I’m inspired by how you got through it and want to help the world; maybe I’ll do the same!

    2. I am so proud of you for writing this and sharing your own personal experiences! I was bullied as a child and it really scarred me. The Lord has been able to remind me of who I really am and I pray that others will know He can do that for them too but it is definitely scarring….and if you don’t release it to the Lord-it can stay with you forever. I am SOO glad (and proud!!) that you are doing this! I definitely want to support!!! 🙂
