I’ve never really thought of my myself as the prettiest person or the sharpest. Like many people, I’ve had insecurities. When I was a small child, about 5, I was too small to reach the mirrors. I wouldn’t care at all how I looked or who to impress. I didn’t really try at all. I knew GOD had already made me perfect so I had nothing to change. As I got older, about 10 years old, I was more focused on education & my religion, which of course, is for GOD. But when I got into middle school, you just had to be perfect. You had to be perfect to be pretty. You had to have designer clothes & loads of makeup & long straight hair. And if not? Then you were a ”nobody”. But why? Is it just because of the image that the media puts in out heads saying to be pretty, you must look flawless. Most people don’t know this, but you ARE flawless. GOD made you flawless & perfect. There’s so many quotes that say “nobody is perfect, everyone has something wrong with them”. But honestly, that’s just what you think. You’re gorgeous, even if you don’t realize it. I used to think I was too dark & had huge nostrils & a big forehead. But you know what? IF that’s the way I am, then let me be me; the dark big nostrils & big foreheaded girl. Embrace yourself. ♥
We here at Project Inspired want to guide and inspire teen girls to be true to themselves and to God. We want to show young girls how to be people of value and confidence – how to be your own best selves – through leading a Christian life. Who are we? We're a team of girls, like you. We edit the site, we post to social media, we hang out in the chat rooms and forums. We talk with you, we listen to you, and we love you!
